Pryde of the X-Men Theme Song

Robert J. Walsh is TV and film music composer who has been writing music for TV and film since the early 80s. Walsh is no stranger to animation, having worked on some of the biggest shows (mostly for Marvel Productions, Ltd.) in the last twenty years, Transformers, G.I.Joe, Jem and the Holograms and Muppet Babies, just to name a few.

The big, 80s rock sound of the Pryde of the X-Men theme song may seem cheesy and dated to today's audience, but fits perfectly into it genre when compared to similar theme songs such as G.I.Joe and M.A.S.K.

The visuals are simply made up of clips from the only episode in the series but still give us a brief introduction to the heroes and villains that we will see in the episode. A whole new sequence would have been drastically better, but seeing as this was only a pilot, it is understandable.

One can't help but imagine what an original title sequence would look like for this series, especially if it were animated by Toei Animation, the same company to provide the animation for this lone episode.

No place to hide
No place to run (no place to run)
Mutants' aid
Has now begun!

X-Men (X-Men)
Saves the day (saves the day)
X-Men (X-Men)
Coming your way!

Magneto's hoardes are on their way
To pillage, burn and plunder.
But there's one team that will not yield,
The team that strikes like thunder!

X-Men (X-Men)
Saves the day (saves the day)
X-Men (X-Men)
Coming your way!
