Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends Theme Song

The theme to Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends is a favourite of many Spider-Man fans. Its disco sound is a perfect introduction to the feel of the show and the pictures serve as a good introduction to the Spider-Friends, especially for Firestar who was created for the show.

The theme was composed by Johnny Douglas, an English composer who composed and performed his original music since the age of thirteen. After scoring and conduction dozens of albums, Douglas moved to the area of television, providing music for such classic 80s shows as Spider-Man, Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends, Dungeons & Dragons, Incredible Hulk, Transformers and G.I.Joe.

Did you know that Johnny Douglas wrote lyrics to this theme? A disco version of the song was released on a 45rpm in 1981.

Spider-Man spins,
Spider-Man wins every time.
Helping the good,
Waging the war against crime.

Shooting his web he can bound
Onto the roof or to the ground.

Spidey has friends,
Friends that will come to his aid.
Firestar flies,
Iceman glides, never afraid.

Together they go,
Seeking the evil one.
Fighting the foe,
Fighting till they have won.

Spider-Man, Spider-Man
Spider-Man, Spider-Man

Spider-Man, Spider-Man
Spider-Man, Spider-Man

Spidey has friends,
Friends that will come to his aid.
Firestar flies,
Iceman glides, never afraid.

Together they go,
Seeking the evil one.
Fighting the foe,
Fighting till they have won.

Spider-Man, Spider-Man

Spider-Man spins,
Spider-Man wins every time.

Spider-Man, Spider-Man
Spider-Man!
