Super Friends Theme Song

The theme song to the Super Friends series is not one that is easily forgotten. The triumphant music, the boastful narration and the role call all come together to create one great theme song.

The music was written by Hoyt Curtin, Hanna-Barbera's chief music composer. I'm not sure who wrote the words, but I do know that they were spoken by Ted Knight, who also narrated the first season. Ted Knight had previously narrated many of the superhero shows for Filmation.

In the Great Hall of the Justice League, there are assembled the world's four greatest heroes created from the cosmic legends of the universe!

Superman! Wonder Woman! Batman! Aquaman! And the three Junior Super Friends, Wendy, Marvin and Wonderdog!

Their mission: To fight injustice, to right that which is wrong, and to serve all mankind!
