Wolverine and the X-Men

  • Episode Guide
  • Theme Song

One year has past since a giant explosion devastated the X-Mansion and left the team in shambles. Now, the government wants to round up all mutants and it's up to Wolverine to bring the team back together to put a stop to the oncoming war.

As the titular character, Wolverine is at the forefront of the series. Forums and blogs were in constant debate before the premiere of the series whether or not Wolverine leading the X-Men would be a good idea. But most fans have embraced the show due to its slick animation by First Serve Toonz, solid stories by Craig Kyle and Christopher Yost, and a ton of mutants with great characterization and well deigned costumes.

The show premiered on Nicktoons in January of 2009, however it was released in Latin America and Canada several months prior to the US release date. The UK was also supposed to get the series early, first even, but scheduling problems prevented that from happening.

Despite the second season already into production, the series was canceled due to a funding breakdown with one of the show's major financiers.

They'd better not cancel this series. I hope those rumours about the seconds season getting sacked aren't true.

I know they cant just stop making a show they have already started especiially when its the best x men show they have ever made and it shudnt be up to them they should have fans decide if it should air on tv or not and most likely they will want it to......

Unfortunately, this had nothing to do with fans and everything to do with money. Some of their major financial partners backed out. And without money, production comes to a halt. Too bad really.

Well, should just hope that they will have money and still play the shows because they will lose fans and others keep doing that with other shows like terminator, knight rider, the game, and maybe even heroes. Instead of stopping shows they shud either dont begin it or finish what they have already started this is just rediculous and not fair to the fans who watch them...
