In 1979, the Super Friends format changed once again. The core team of Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Batman, Robin and the Wonder Twins returned as did their respective voice actors, but this time in a half-hour time slot, rather than the hour that show had been running at in its previous seasons.
Only eight new episodes were produced and were quite different than your average Super Friends episodes. The plots borrowed heavily from folklore, fairy tales and classic literature.
World's Greatest Super Friends only aired for one season.
