Review (Warning! Spoilers!): The second episode out of three produced by Filmation in 1967 proves to be rather confusing. An alien named Org has kidnapped Kyro in order to keep Green Lantern from interfering with his plan, but he ties him up on the prison asteroid, bringing the Green Lantern straight to where he is doing his dirty work! If I wanted to keep a superhero away, I would kidnap his sidekick and take him to the other side of the universe to draw Green Lantern as far away as possible. It's like these aliens aren't even thinking!
The Vanishing World is yet another simple Filmation cartoon where the hero has to defeat an alien. There is not too much here that makes this episode stand out, except that we find out a little bit more about Kyro. He is Venusian, meaning he comes from Venus, and he's really good at being attacked by strange creatures! Aqualad plays a similar role in the Aquaman episodes.
Green Lantern uses his ring a bit more in this episode, creating different objects like a claw, a rope, a boxing glove, a capsule, and beam tunnel which he uses for flight. I'm not sure if this was his means of flight in the Silver Age, but I thought that GL could always fly.
