Review (Warning! Spoilers!): Not much in this episode worth noting, except that it is the first appearance of Lois Lane in this series. Her voice is provided by Joan Alexander who has previously voiced the intrepid reporter for a Superman radio program in the 30s.
I couldn't help but notice how much blue is in this episode. Superman is mostly blue, the pterodactyls are blue, Lois is dressed in blue, and the majority of the scenes take place against the blue sky or the blue ocean.
Since this show would have been primarily seen on black and white televisions, this may not be such a huge deal because the different shades of blue would translate well to black and white, but it is more noticeable in colour.
I should note that Superman's costume is a very light blue in these early series. If you watch Superman on a black and white television, the dark blue of his costume would translate to pretty much the same shade of dark grey as the red in his cape. By changing his costume to light blue, there is a greater distinction between his unitard and his cape on black and white televisions.
The best part of this episode is when Superman calls the pterodactyl "Pterry baby".
