The Defeat of Loki

Season: 1
Episode Number: 1c
Season Episode Number: 1c
Production Number:
Airdate:

Writer:
Director:

Voices: Chris Wiggins (Thor), Len Carlson (Loki), Peg Dixon (Jane Foster), Bernard Cowan (Narrator, Odin), (Asgardian).

Plot: Loki tricks Thor into dropping his hammer and the God of Mischief encases it in a force field that mere mortal Donald Blake cannot penetrate!

Review (Warning! Spoilers!): With Thor out of the way, Loki can now do to Earth anything he wishes! So what does he do? He turns all the cars into ice cream and toys into candy! Woo-ee! That Loki is one crazy party animal!

This Loki may come off as quite cheesy when you think of all the epic battles he and his half-brother have fought in more recent years. But the God of Mischief lives up to his name in this episode and nothing more.

There are a few missing scenes in which Loki dismantles an Atomic Bomb and defeats the US Army by giving wings to all their weapons and having them fly away.

The inclusion of these scenes would have given Loki a more warlord type character as well as made it look like he was actually trying to conquer something, rather than just fooling around with the townspeople. However, I suspect that they were cut because it would have made this episode too long.
