Season Episode Number: 1c
Production Number:

Writer: Stan Lee

Voices: Paul Soles (Bruce Banner, Rick Jones), Max Ferguson (Hulk), Bernard Cowan (Narrator), Gillie Fenwick (General 'Thunderbolt' Ross), Peg Dixon (Betty Ross), (Gorgon), (Soldier).

Plot: The Gorgon travels to America to seek out the Hulk! But what does he want?

Review (Warning! Spoilers!): The Gorgon traveled to America from Russia to see the Hulk, whom he is told has power that rivals his own. But the only power we see is a gun. A gun? That's it? That's a plot hole if I've ever seen one.

The Gorgon has a quest, but it isn't the reason that why he came to America. It's only once he gets to America that he finds out that Banner and Hulk are one and the same, which serves his purposes of ridding himself of his hideous mutation. Then, after fulfilling his lifelong quest to look normal, he kills himself! Don't you think that he would like to at least go to the singles bar or something first?

And why can't Banner cure himself if he could cure the Gorgon so easily? It doesn't make any sense!

This is the Gorgon's one and only appearance in the comics, although he will return in the Incredible Hulk animated series in 1996 under his original name, the Gargoyle.

There is some fantastic artwork in this series and I don't think this show would be nearly as good if they used the limited animation technique with drawings of their own.
