Young Justice Gets Animated!

This may be the most exciting news of the week: Voice actress Stephanie Lemelin has posted some news about DC Animation's next animated series... YOUNG JUSTICE!

Here is what Lemelin had to say on her blog:

WOW. Ok… I am beyond thrilled to announce that I was recently cast in the new animated series, YOUNG JUSTICE LEAGUE, based on the famous (and awesome!?) DC Comics. I seriously could not be more excited about being welcomed into this amazing family… what a fantastic way to start the new year! I will be voicing the character of Arrowette.

Young Justice was created in 1998 when the Teen Titans were getting to be more like the Young Adult Titans and DC Comics was looking to create a new book featuring a younger group of superheroes. The comics starred Superboy, Robin (Tim Drake) and Impulse, but also included Wonder Girl, Secret, Arrowette (pictured above), Beast Boy, Lil' Lobo, Batgirl and many others.

This series sounds like it could be perfect for fans who don't want to let go of the DC Animated Universe, and those who were not satisfied with the humorous take on the animated Teen Titans series.

Lemelin calls the show Young Justice League which is probably to tie into the popular Justice League cartoon for an audience unfamiliar with Young Justice.

There has not been an official announcement from the studio, but we should hear about it soon now that this news is getting out.

So far the show rocks! I’m glad that they decided to go with the Young Justice series. I just ran across your blog and have to say that this show is awesome, pure entertainment! I have been a fan since I watched the first episode. Now that I have Sling technology with DISH Network, I never miss any of the shows. I live a very busy life and I use my iPhone to see his shows while on my lunch break at work. Being that I am a customer/employee of DISH I can’t recommend the TV Everywhere feature enough to anyone with a busy lifestyle, thanks DISH!
